Glad to see that Fred Secunda was not among those arrested. Back in the day, DKE was a bunch of guys from Uptown N.O. I guess times have really changed.

Glad I had my fun back in the day. None of this is seems worth it anymore. All went to hell when they raised the drinking age to 21. Damn shame. Cell phones didn't help either.

That, and judging by their ages, some of them were on their 2nd or 3rd victory lap.

Good family.

Officers at the time got charged misdemeanors for crap you probably did in a frat.

OTOH eighties frats partied hard, but they rarely did anything criminal or egregiously stupid enough to get someone killed. The current iteration of frats have been giving malevolent administrators plenty of ammo.

The bar of what constitutes hazing has been moved so low, everything we did In the 80’s would damn near be felonies, today.

No we didn't do anything criminal, but the pussies today would've certainly run to campus administrators complaining about what we did to them...

It wasn’t criminal back then, but it is now.

I believe this to be false. Different standards then. Stuff wasn't as widely and sensationally reported. Less litigious environment. Less of a culture of clutching pearls and thinking that everything can be fixed or "we make sure it never happens again." So many other differences in the culture.

There was plenty to go after fraternities back then. Including deaths during fraternity activities. You just didn't have as many prog lunatics running the university.
