Just so there's no speculation in here:
They weren't kicked off by LSU, it was DKE nationals that pulled the plug on them.

Are the SAEs still kicked off?

I went in the DKE house just once while I was at LSU. It happened to be a gameday. I walked inside and then looked to my left to see a girl passed out on the floor while a group of people played beer pong right next next to her. I looked to my right and saw a couple of people snorting a few lines. I'm surprised they lasted this long without getting kicked off campus. They're a fun group, but reckless.

Delta Kappa Epsilon Closes LSU Chapter for Policy Violations
BATON ROUGE—On January 15, Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity announced the closure of its LSU Chapter. This outcome was based on the findings of an investigation the International Fraternity conducted in response to allegations of violations of its hazing and alcohol policies. As a result of this decision, all chapter activities and operations will cease, and the chapter will disband, effective immediately.
“Our number one priority is that our chapters foster safe environments, and through our investigation, we found that the student members made choices inconsistent with the policies and values of Delta Kappa Epsilon,” said Doug Lanpher, DKE Executive Director. “DKE does not tolerate this kind of behavior in the fraternity and holds its chapters and members accountable for the choices they make.”
In full support of the Max Gruver Act and related anti-hazing laws, the Fraternity has filed a report with the LSU Police Department and reached out to university administrators to provide the findings of its investigation. So as to not interfere with an impending investigation, the Fraternity will not be providing additional details at this time.

Board of Directors
Final Outcome Letter
The Board of Directors of the Delta Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity held a meeting at 5:00pm eastern standard time on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019 in due form as directed by the Fraternity’s Constitution & By-Laws. The outcome of the hearing, providing all prescribed due process follows.
The Board of Directors took up the question on two separate motions during its meeting.
The first motion placed before the board was the revocation of the Charter of the Zeta Zeta Chapter. That motion was carried unanimously.
The second motion placed before the board was “that the Board of Directors of Delta Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity demands that the men previously associated with the Zeta Zeta Chapter, the Zeta Zeta Alumni Association, and the Housing Corporation immediately remove the letters ?KE and any other fraternity insignia from the housing facility at 13 Dalrymple Drive on the campus of Louisiana State University. Furthermore the facility is to be vacated effective immediately.” This motion was also carried unanimously.
Again, questions about meal plans, alternative housing, Zeta Zeta Chapter dues, and any other matter of business conducted in the name of or by the Chapter should be directed to the Zeta Zeta Alumni Association and Housing Corporation. LSU may also serve as a resource in navigating meal plans and housing options.
The Chapter and its members may not participate in any event that would lead a reasonable observer to believe that the event is occurring under any identity of Delta Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity. Moreover, previous members of the the now suspended Zeta Zeta Chapter are to not in any way indicate that they are active members of Delta Kappa Epsilon.
With a police investigation likely, members should cooperate with any investigation inquiry. The International Fraternity will continue to cooperate with police and campus authorities.
The Chapter and its members do not represent, and are not to make any statement on behalf of, Delta Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity.
Sincerely,
?
Trey Robb, M.Ed.
Director of Health & Safety Initiatives

You forgot to mention how this is going to adversely affect donations because the Greeks are responsible for 99% of the 200 bucks LSU reeled in last year from alumni.
You're joking right? Look whether you like it or not, the fact is that the majority of the money donated is from alumnus of the greek system. But those people are also of the age that basically anyone worth a frick was in the greek system. If it goes away people like you will just bitch about a whole new group of people you aren't.

They would have to move off campus completely. Would be kinda cool to have an off campus house somewhere

I hate this. Criticizing hazing rituals is anathema to my political, ethical, and moral beliefs.
BUT....there was a guy I went to high school with who died in a hazing accident (alcohol poisoning). Kid was bright as shite, straight as an arrow during high school, went to college. He didn't know what was safe to drink due to lack of experience. A kid who was destined to be a real asset to this country cut down because of hazing. Not cool. The older kids and sponsors need to be mindful of what they're doing.
