Woke up this morning with the feeling of the room spinning (particularly when I stand up or lay on my side), and with the dizziness has come nausea and feeling like throwing up.
Any advice for getting rid of this or do I just have to wait for it to subside?

Congrats on the pregnancy!
Do you have any decongestants? That might help.

Day after Ash Wednesday usually does that.
Seriously prolly sinus issue, or dehydration.

If you are older or have cardiovascular risk factors I suggest you see your MD immediately..
If you are otherwise healthy give it a day and see if the vertigo (room spinning sensation) is aggravated by any particular movements. If so, positional vertigo (BPPV) is likely and you should see a local ENT physician who can help make you better quickly.

Thanks for the info everyone. Just remembered that I have had this happen before, and it turned out to be something I ate and it went away after a day.

Schedule and make an appointment with your general physician today.

Go buy some Meclizine from Walgreens. You can get Bonine or Dramamine. If it doesn't go away, make an appointment with your ENT.

Sounds like a brain tumor.
Make sure you google your symptoms heavily.
Prayers sent.
