Probably because he worked his arse off all day and wanted to wind down. No different than a man watching tv in the evening. Just nowadays you have video games as a choice along with tv.
Hell I don't stay up all night playing because I work on the farm all day but if there's nothing worth watching in the evening I'll turn on the old Xbox for a couple hours

I know a guy whos wife would rather him watch porn than game.

I play a shite ton of video games on the weekends.
Gf and I will go out one day, day drink, etc go to dinner. The other day and a half is mine to do what I want.
She doesn’t give a single frick. Would rather me be doing that than cracking 50 cold ones with the boys not texting her back.
