Divorced Baws

Question for the divorced baws aka trash. If you decided to re-marry, what were your reasons for doing so?
If I don’t want to have more kids, I’m struggling to see the benefits of marrying again. Split custody so the kids still have their mother. Don’t need marriage for sex these days obviously, and that seems to disappear after marriage anyway. Did all of the cooking in my first marriage so don’t need that. Help me find some benefits OT.

If you have any assets, there really isn’t a benefit.

Found someone I loved. I didn’t think I would again after the divorce but finding the right person changed my mind.

Taxes? Benefits? Because you love her and she's stuck with you through rough times?

Sometimes you fall in love and want to spend your life with someone.

If you have to ask this question, you probably don’t need someone else’s answer.

If you date someone a generation younger than you, chances are she'll want to get married. So if you want to be with them long term, expect it.

If you have any doubts about it you shouldn't do it. If you meet the right person the 2nd time around you'll know it.

It’ll take time, but once finding someone who isn’t a whore and is pleasant to be around you’ll realize how much better she is and locking that down is beneficial knowing how rare that is nowadays. The trick is not marrying a whore and/or bitch.

A man has to be a complete & utter moron to get married.
Why in the world would you sign a contract that allows the woman to take half of your assets, kids, house, retirement, child support, alimony etc. ?
Why do you want the government in your life any more than necessary ?
And prenups get thrown out on a regular basis, so don't think that it will save your arse.

Love. Pretty simple. My first wife had an affair on me. I found a girl that had that done to her, and we've been happily married 25 years now. You just have to find the right person.

I guess it would all depend on how much she swindled her last husband out of and the size of the house he had to give her.

She's probably cheated on you.
You just don't know it.

Don’t get married if you don’t want to.
Enjoy the freedom and having no arguments in your own house. Stack money.
It’s easy to find rocking chair and coffee companions if you want one well after retirement to ride out the golden years.

Taxes?
Taxes will be the same if she pulled the same weight with income. If not, she will most likely spend way more than you saved in taxes.
