It can go either way. My boyfriend's $$ lawyer is not in the parish of his divorce. His ex's lawyer is. His ex's lawyer hasn't gotten shite extra for her. He has 50/50 custody, pays peanuts for child support, and no alimony.

You have any friends that are also down to give a newly single guy a "soft landing"?

He has 50% custody, and she has a job. Why should he be paying more? It's on a set scale, isn't it?

Again, why should he be paying more when he has the child 50% of the time?

Well if he makes more, I'd want my child to live a better life more than 50% of the time, not just when he's with me. But you do you.

If you want to limit to Ascension Parish... go see Amy Colby. You are welcome

Lol you've never been divorced with kids I take it. The little princess of a wife leaves. The women you thought was close to perfect becomes a money grubbing whore whose sole purpose is to make you as miserable as humanly possible.

Broaden your search. Your lawyer can be in any parish.

I would disagree based on my experience in ascension. I used a lawyer from a well respected Baton Rouge firm and he basically got told they do things differently here.

This was only for child custody, so may not be an issue if kids aren't involved.

You do not need an ascension parish attorney
Call Karen Downs in BTR- the very best in Baton Rouge,

You can thank me after she protects you, your family and makes sure your spouse pays his fair share

This is something to brag about ? At least his kids will grow up in a poor broken family.
