If there's something I've learned in my 34 years.

If you ain't poking them someone else is.

Women do not leave a relationship without something to go too. If a woman initiates she was already thinking about or getting some on the side.

My wife and I married each other because we loved each other. We waited five years before having kids and traveled the world in that time as we grew together with each other.

10 years later (And 17 years after we first met) we have one kid and another on the way and although we don’t always like each other we would still die for the other in a heartbeat. I feel sorry for those who marry too soon and end up realizing it was a mistake.

In every single case ive known of at least one of the spouses had divorced parents and most of the time both of them had divorced parents.

Pretty much this. I know of women who ruined their lives just so they can get on Tinder cause everyone is on Tinder. And oh its so glorious when they finally realize that their dumb asses should have stayed married. Now you're 40 years old with three kids and gut trying to lock down a dude with money.

Humans aren't meant to be monogamous

We live in a period of pampered lives and rampant selfishness.

There’s very little desire to be patient and to grow through adversity.

People take the short route, the easy money, the happiness now path, or else their partner does.

Stay the course, man. Have the difficult conversations to work through the pain and resentments.

You made a promise to your spouse and to yourself, and before your family and your God.

My parents were divorced while I was at a very young age but I don't think that makes me less of marriage material.

That's how people rationalize it.

The truth is that it takes two people to want a marriage to work for it to work. No matter how much one wants it without the other, it won't

Sounds like the pray away the gay type mentality.

It's simply nature, how we are built. Fight it all you want as some sort of moral punishment of denying yourself.

My theory on women and divorce.

A man can marry beneath him and he may stay married for the rest of his life.

When a decent looking woman marries (what she considers) down and her friends start marrying engineers, pharmaceutical reps, etc., she is 88 and out the gate. A woman wants it all, she wants a good looking, self-confident man with a good job. She wants a new SUV, kids in private school, a 3000 SF house and vacations in 30A.

A man will just hang in there and keep the peace, even though the wife may turn out to be a turd. Women see the "Facebook lives" of their friends and want that, even though it is probably not real.

Just wait until you have fight after fight with your future wife and you find yourself saying “frick it, my dad was divorced and he’s fine”.

well this is just basic biology

men simply seek good nurturers

women seek the best genetics/provider

I haven't seen any statistics, but I would say that most divorces that occur nowadays are initiated by women. They want to be "happy" 24/7 and think it is their husband's job. Then after getting seeing what's out there and not seeing their own children, they come crawling back. Pretty much what happened to me. I took her back once, then when she left a second time I filed immediately.

I'm divorced with 2 kids, remarried a few years ago. My first marriage was a huge mistake, but I learned from it and now have an amazing wife and my kids have a great step-mom, who is in their lives more than their birth mother is.
