Or, and stay with me here, we could build more than one fricking theme park?

That was half the fun just running into random characters in the park and getting their autograph.
Wonder if I could find my old Disney autograph book

The Disney Corp, generally, is one of the most greedy and anti-American corporations in the world. I wouldn't go to Disney World even if I won an all-expense paid trip. My lone boycott is insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but I will stick to it indefinitely, nonetheless.

So you'll pay $180-225 or so just to park now.
No parking fees if you stay at DVC resorts.
We are staying 6 nights at Old Key West and 3 nights at Polynesian, total cost for 9 nights of that is about the same of 9 nights of an All Star plus nightly parking.

Another Disney bashing thread? How original.

Just needed this pep talk today. Going in April and wasn’t excited before

Do you know the owners of these places? None of these places have done that. Disney has been sowing bad seeds into American society for decades.
Right. Because they can't. That's my point. If they could they absolutely would. Sea World tried to grow to China a few years ago and the only reason if fell through was because the Chinese company ran into land issues.

Going in 4 weeks. Can't wait for the character building opportunity.
We all need that.
We all need that.

quote:Going with kids to Disney sucks for adults. Period. It's just a great big waste of energy. Much better just going to the beach and telling the kids not to play with the sharks and don't stick a jellyfish on your head.
Need to cut down on weirdo adults going, make a rule that you have to be there with a kid.

The problem know is that everyone with kids nowadays feels like they have to make the pilgrimage to Disney World whether they can afford it or not. Keeping up with the Jones'. People are taking their 2 year olds and younger there. You gotta be kidding me.

If you stay at a Universal Resort the express passes are part of the deal. At least it was the last time we stayed.
Still that way, save the water park. We are at the Portofino and I get to relax on a bench and they can ride until they puke.

It’s become a huge hassle to just relax when you go. Genie passes at 7am kind of ruin the fun.
That being said, the only people complaining about it being “too expensive” probably were at the limits of being able to financially afford it long before Covid.

So you think Busch Gardens, Sea World and Universal are just not as big as Disney by choice? C'mon "bro."
Everyone that pays to go to Universal as some sort of "screw you" to Disney I guess is totally oblivious that it's owned by NBC?

I never once argued that. Im still trying to figure out why you even brought it up or what your point is.

lol you took an afterpoint of my original post and rallied against it like Willam Wallace. Enjoy Disney if you want to damn. My point is if you have qualms with Disney there are alternatives.

I do. Quite often actually. My little girls are at the age where the magic still exists. I know it doesn’t last forever so I’ll will do what it takes to make that happen.
You said going to places like Sea World and Universal wouldn’t “feed the Disney monster.” Not even realizing you’re just feeding a monster with a different shade is skin. Disney isn’t for everyone but I always get a kick out of the holier than thous that always pop up in these threads…. bro.
