Raising prices is about the only way to keep the crowds down and even that's not working too well.
The place is overrun as is and there really isn't any off season anymore.
Could you imagine it at a lower price point? It would be a miserable experience for everyone.
It's unfortunate a lot of families are being priced out but its simple economics, nothing to do with greed.

It's all to keep the riff raff out. Every time a fight at Disney World story makes the news prices go up a little while later.
