“I did something completely [expletive] stupid that I never should have done in the first place,” Kevin Van Orman, 35, of South Daytona told deputies, according to his arrest affidavit. “I came to meet a 15-year-old girl. One thing I never should have [expletive] done. I lost my wife, my house, my kids, my truck.”

Van Orman drove to the Polk County address the undercover deputy gave him, found the front door locked and drove away, records show. He returned later with two condoms in his pocket and walked up to the front door, where deputies arrested him.

I think the general SOP is to use clothed pics of real kids who look somewhat similar to the cops who play them for the busts.
The bust videos shown at the conferences where they were speaking about this pretty much had young female cops sitting on the ground dressed as teens. When the guy who talked to them online approached them, other cops swooped in for the bust.
