Even after being told to do so. How do these dullards even know how to operate a phone.

For as bad as the local radio talk show host are in our area, the callers are worse.
I generally change the station when I'm listening to WWL and they go to a caller.
It's worse when it's one of the sports radio shows in Baton Rouge

Most listeners who call to offer their opinions on radio programs tend to encompass the less intelligent segment of society. It's just a fact.
Specialty programming isn't nearly as bad as what you might find with sports and politics. I worked as a producer for a major radio station in town and most of the ones who called during our automotive show seemed to be at least fairly intelligent.

How are you doing? I'd like to make a comment.

It's the idiots who preface their comments with "just a quick question..."
Ya know right then and there it AIN'T gonna be quick

Host: "Go ahead Mike...Mike? Mike, you're on the air. Mike? Mike are you there?"
Mike: "Yeah, I'm here."
Mike: "Yeah, I'm here."

"Lines are open, first up is Tom from Tigerdroppings. Go ahead, Tom."
"Hey, this is Tom from Tigerdroppings."
"Hey, this is Tom from Tigerdroppings."

I'm Lester the Nightfly
Hello Baton Rouge
Won't you turn your radio down
Respect the seven second delay we use
So you say there's a race
Of men in the trees
You're for tough legislation
Thanks for calling
I wait all night for calls like these
An independent station
WJAZ
With jazz and conversation
From the foot of Mt. Belzoni
