What says the OT? I'm at my local spot that I will not name as many of you are in Katy.

Discuss what makes you a bar regular and what makes a place just your regular "spot"?

In4 starting a thread asking.

All the bartenders know your name and what you drink = regular.

I have that place in Nashville. Drink starts getting poured when I walk in.

my "regular bar" is the bar that i go to more than others, whether its twice a week or twice a month

a "bar regular" is someone who goes to a bar often enough for the bartenders and other regulars to know him solely because of his attendance at said bar

Came in to post this. If they greet you by your name and generally know exactly what you want, and some kind of information about your life (job, family, etc.), you're a "regular."

One is a person, one is a place. If you don't know this, you need to take a remedial English class

Mine is in my neighborhood, so when I walk/run with my dog and don't bring my wallet, I'll still go sit on their patio and they keep a running tab for me.

Fantastic.

You can't "e-check" knuckles, Baw.

You might be fricked up by your sass.

When i use to be a regular at a local bar, they would see my SUV pull up, and when i walked in i had a cold pint of Shiner waiting on me at my usual bar stool every time

I was a regular regular... aka a local drunk

Mine doesn't last for months

They just know I'll go in there 3-4 times a week and pay it off. Often times when I stop by with my dog in workout clothes, its just a beer and they just won't charge me.

You are a bar regular when other people get kicked out for you being an a-hole.
If you can't pull that off then it is just a bar you go to.

based on the question you are either a regular in denial or transitioning from having a regular bar to being a regular.

When I walk into the bar I'm a regular at, the bartender starts making my drink before I get to the bar

Many more are in Baton Rouge and I go to Ivars and Zippys most often. Why are you faqs so shady and anonymous?

I'm a bar regular and those are my regular bars. Both bars all know I want a bud light draft and a shot of vodka straight up. On Thursdays it's $5 doubles of Absolut Night at Ivars. They pour me a double shot.
