869k gets you a nice place in the neighborhood of Watts out here.
Random note: I’ve had to drive through Watts at 2:00am a few times for work. It’s unnerving.

Yes it is. I wouldn't entertain a house that price unless I had (oddly enough) about 350k in household income

No, the price in itself isn't an overly expensive home for BR. The point I was trying to make is that I didn't think pastors made the kind of money to be able to afford an $870K home.

BR isn't a cheap housing market. You have to pay to move far enough away from the ghetto and still not be 9 miles and an hour from work.

One pastor I’m good friends with makes about 25k a year. There’s 2 others I know but I don’t know their income. But after seeing what they drive and where they live, it isn’t much more than my friend. All 3 have been pastors for 10+ years and one of them over 20 years.

Seriously, I know of one person who's son is a pastor in DS and there's no way he's making anything like this. He probably makes 30K. Just makes me think when I see these megachurch pastors having these fancy, expensive homes.

Once again, who is the Pastor? Maybe he had a book deal, maybe he gets paid to travel and give speeches, whoever it is, is allowed to earn his money anyway he chooses.
I doubt just being a Pastor of a church pays enough to afford that house.

Maybe so but that's a huge salary for a preacher. I know plenty of doctors that don't make that. And yes, an almost 900k house is certainly higher end in this market.
