it's weird. this was pretty much the plot to every John Grisham novel ever written.

Except instead of exposing the corrupt through the legal process, a man shot another man in the back like a common coward.

The people that that twisted themselves into pretzels defending this guy are just as broken as the killer.

As much as I want any other murderer to be caught.

This is the same as any other murder case.

Same.

Thomas Jefferson probably wouldn't have shed many tears either.

quote:

When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

That's not murder. That's justice.

There's the problem. It's a matter of perspective.

I think it's pretty cut and dry.

One was a kidnapper and child rapist caught red-handed and the other was the CEO of an insurance firm

It's not even remotely comparable

Luigi will go to jail for life unlike Gary because Gary's actions were justified.

Well of course you do, that's your perspective on it.

Sure, the dude at the airport probably deserved to die.

It's not cut and dry if the UHC did or not. He likely played a large part in some highly questionable decisions, which is what has led to people not really being outraged over this

It does when nothing changes. EVERYTHING is harder for the middle class these days. Going to football games, owning a car, putting food on the table. All while shrinkflation eats at how much we actually buy. To say nothing of big issues like taxation and insurance.

Hell look at most tax bases at the state level. Those making between 60k and 400k pay 80% of the taxes but are 35-45% of the population. Insurance costs have somehow outpaced college costs. And yet they keep trying to stick the middle class with the bill for it all. Goddamn even these little 3% transaction fees for credit cards every place on earth is charging now. like wtf.

Nothing is changing for the ones in the middle. Nothing. The powers that be keep playing a rigged game and more and more people are getting sick of it. And it aint the old heads that are getting tired. Its the young guys like Luigi who are really starting to not give a frick and are beyond pissed about how things are.

There's lots of change, only for the worse and not better. But people will preach just keep your head down, work hard and vote right and one day it'll change.

It is pretty cut and dry. He was a CEO doing his job. UHC is not a monopoly and people have choices of coverage. My wife and I review our options every year when the market opens. We changed last year after we weren't satisfied with some changes with our carrier from the previous year. He did not deserve to die for simply being the CEO of UHC and your assumption he may have been shady. That's a simpleton's justification.

The other one kidnapped and raped a kid and there was no doubt he did so.

Huge difference.

Were you wearing your Che Guevara shirt while typing this? This scream "let's start a revolution"

I understand your anger and frustration but the CEO of UHC is not to blame for healthcare costs. Obamacare is. You are subsidizing leeches who refuse to be productive members of society.
