It has the turbo diesel engine. On the way back to Louisiana it got 51 mpg.
Yea but diesel is about 50% more expensive than gas, so this is equivalent to about 34 MPG.

ps - good looking car though, not trying to hate on you

34 mpg equivalent is still really good and when gas prices start climbing again this summer, diesel will start winning that war again. I considered the 328d but I thought repair costs would be too high. Good looking car though.

Seriously. I swore off BMW after watching how my car isn't holding up long term...but damnit, every time I test drive something else all I want to do is get back in my car.

A twin turbo inline V6 that only produces 320 HP?

That's kinda shitty for $43k

Yea? My 09 feels like I drove it off the lot yesterday. I'll get a respray one day, but outside of the paint chips it's in perfect condition. The sound the doors make when they shut is STILL better than anything on the market. The car could not be more solid. I want to upgrade my suspension, but I'll wait a couple more years.

I do agree with this.

Mine is an 09 3 series. I've had dry rotted plastic, leather coming unstitched, replaced 3/4 window regulators (I wont open the sunroof now), etc. To be fair I bought it CPO so whoever had it before me could've been harder on it than I thought.

But I still love to drive it.

This sort of stat war is why we can't have nice things. Combine that with the mpg stat war and I end up not being able to purchase the things I want. Americans need to FEEL more, experience what the real difference with auto makers are...99.5% of car buyers don't need 320hp in a car. You just don't need it. You can't use it, it in no way makes the car any better, it's just ridiculous...but hey, it's 30hp more than the neighbors car so you win.

Exterior windows? Yea, I changed all that out myself this year. I think the 5s have a bit more quality built in, but I could just be making shite up.

If I get another one it'll be a 5 or SAV so we'll see if you're right

I love my 335i. IMO its the best sports sedan you can buy for the money. Especially used. Well with the exception of the CTSV with the LS6 or LS2 .

I have the Msport package so the suspension is great although a little rough.

The 335i is tuned down so much its ridiculous. Go buy a JB4 tuner for 500 bucks and you get an instant 100 extra hp.

They've been adjusting the brand - odd numbers are supposed to be sedans, even numbers coupes, with X being their crossover SUV on the same chassis.
