there are a variety of reasons, but mainly deal with suffering and justice as far as the reasons i don't feel the need to be associated with a belief in any God, nor do i believe that if there really is a God, that he or she would be knowable to the human mind anyway...

Seems like the older generation are real sticklers when it comes to religion. There's this much older woman(mid 70's) at my work who saw me eating a burger during Lent on Friday and was like "You do know you can't eat meat on Fridays".

I told her I wasn't Catholic and she asked what religion I was. I told her none and she about had a heart attack.
