Got some buddies that bought their wives diamond ear-rings for the first child. On a whim, I walked into a jewelry store to look at those things.

My friends got the "You dumb motherfricker" phone call from me shortly thereafter.

And I don't think any woman actually demands a gift like that. Any woman would appreciate it though. I mean you buy gifts at Christmas and birthdays and anniversaries. Why not buy something for the birth of your child. Not like that comes along that often.

I have a cousin who is giving birth in a few weeks. Her husband asked her what she wanted as a push present and she said "a healthy baby."
