Work friends: too many times to mention and I still have to look out for it.
This is why after a lot of years I’ve learned not to have work friends. I’ll talk and be friendly with folks, but I don’t trust anyone and no way friends.

I had a "friend" in high school tell one of our mutual friends I was saying shite about him behind his back and likewise told me the mutual friend was talking bad about me until one day me and the mutual friend put two and two together and called him out on it. Pretty weird behavior looking back.

I had two completely separate set of friends growing up. One due to living location and one due to school. I was right on the border of two school districts and I just fell into the one no one else was in.
The school friends absolutely never matured. The constantly would say stupid shite behind my back to other people and I got sick of it. Constant junior high stupid stuff from people graduated from high school. Just left one night and never showed back up. They were all too proud to call and see what’s up. So basically to most of them it’s like I died one night and was gone. Haven’t seen all but one of them since and that was basically a passing head nod.
The growing up friends have always been cool.
Plus made another group in college.

I had a female friend steal girls from me for months. Turned out she was jealous of the other girls getting my attention because she had a thing for me but didn’t want to admit it.
This happened to me in college a lot by my "best" girl friend.

When I was in my 20's I thought I had dozens of friends. What I really had was a bunch of friendly acquaintances, although a few of them used me however they could to benefit themselves. True friends are rare. Now, at 50, I can count on one hand the guys who would come running in the middle of the night if I was in a bind. As far as being stabbed in the back, in my case, my own family has done more than anyone outside the family to undermine me with regards to managing the family business. There have also been a couple employees who I went above and beyond to help out that, figuratively speaking, repaid my generosity with a giant middle finger.

I've lived and worked in Massachusetts, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas,South
Korea, West Germany ,and the UK.
Baton Rouge by far is the worst place to have friends. It must be full of
thieves and pirates.
My so called 'friends' in Baton Rouge (and Louisiana) have lied to my face and schemed behind my back and have stolen things from me.
For the last ten (10) tears I have purposely had no close friends except for my wife.
It is really telling and interesting that since I have stopped contact with these people that only one out 30 people have called me. And that one person called me only once.
frick this place.
