The only time I even as much raised my voice to a prof was in my freshman biology class. I was struggling with his stupid lectures about plants and photosynthesis. I told him it was stupid and asked him, "So you're saying I can't go to medical school because I don't understand, nor care about how a plant works" and he said yes. I told him that was stupid and walked away. I made a B in that class and never spoke to him again. I'm almost done with medical school now, so he can kiss my arse.

No,but I did get kicked out of class by the douchebag currently serving as our Vice President when he came to Carolina to fill in when our Professor got the nod to go to Washington and run the DNC. I had to retake the class because Joeboy couldn't stand to hear differing opinion by a smarter than him 21 year old South Carolinian.

You failed an undergraduate class, but you're smarter than your PhD-holding professor?

Told a teacher his test was a bunch of bullshite in front of a class of about 50 ppl. He didn't like that too much but he knew I was right so he didn't retaliate.

Exactly, I don't think most undergraduates realize that teaching an undergraduate level class is not their professor's priority. Instead, most are more interested in their research and only teach because they have to, at least in STEM fields.

I sternly let him know that I pay for this class and I can come to it or not come to it if I so choose. It should never affect your grade.

Sure you did.

It wasn't me, but I was in the class.

It was a class that met Tuesdays and Thursdays. After about a month, the professor said we could just meet on Tuesdays and meet for group project work sometime during the week and that would count as the second meeting. It was awesome.

This weird homeschooled kid went to the department head and pulled the "I want a discount on my tuition if we are only going to meet half the time." card. Well, the department head was shocked, and had words with the professor. The next class period, the professor is pissed. Goes off on the student for going over his head "as the department is reviewing tenure."

"You f-ed up my career. I know who you are. You think you are hiding behind an anonymous complaint."

Next class period he smarts off with a "We wouldn't be meeting if it wasn't for one of your classmates." The guy who did it stood up and told him he was a shitty professor and lazy. They almost came to blows.

We had another professor finish the class. I don't think he was fired, because I saw him on campus up until I graduated. It was pretty awkward.

It doesn't matter the motivations. You purchase it and you can choose not to use it. Like a gym membership. Pop quizzes are fine.

Well from your professor's standpoint, how does he know you won't tip other students off about the exam questions? He would have to make a separate exam just for you, and that's extra work for him.

Yes, but he's special so he needs a special exception. After all, professors don't do real work anyways so devising a completely new exam shouldn't be a big deal, right?

Professors don't do real work

That may be the case for lecturers, but most professors do a large amount of research. I know numerous professors (STEM fields) from my PhD that brought in over a million dollars annually in the form of grants to the university. In addition, a few of my peers and I obtained patents from our research that also benefited the university monetarily.

Yeah, I'm calling bullshite right here. ... No way a person who types as shitty of a paragraph as you did is anywhere close to being as smart as Crazy Uncle Joe, let alone smarter than he ... unless you're trolling, in which case .

Corrected, btw, fwiw, & fyi ...

It still sucks, but at least it's grammatically correct.

I'm not trashy, so I would just drop the class if I couldn't get along with them.

Is that real? I feel like the student fricking dominated the professor there. Every other story sounds like a POS student wanting to slack off and this kid complains that the professor isn't doing his job? Kinda awesome
