This is a South Louisiana board. The better question would be "Who didn't drink alcohol in high school?"

I knew only one guy who didn’t drink back then, and still doesn’t. He was a hard shell Baptist, never cursed either.

That’s a pretty hard thing to do around Mamou, where the saying back then was, if you had 3 dollars and could reach into the cooler, you could have the beer.

Yes. I was going to bars at 14. New Orleans did not give a shite back then.

It really was amazing how easy it was to get in bars in my young teens and we all knew what stores would sell us beer & wine. Can't deny I was a big time drinker at 15, as were most of my friends!

My Dad gave me my first beer when I was 6 - I chugged it - much to his astonishment

Must have drank more than my fair share in HS. My senior year the school annual staff printed a newsletter paper that had predictions for our classmates futures.
My friend and I were predicted to be big time barley and Hops farmers and would eventually open our own brewery.

Just a quick story about how times have changed:

I played golf today and had a-random single join us. Good kid, turns out it was his 18th birthday today. He skipped school (with his parents permission) to enjoy the day.

My buddy and I asked him about what it’s like to be in high school today compared to our experiences 12-15 years ago. We told him about how if students were caught drinking even off campus they would be in big trouble.

He then talked about the new strain of cannabis he and his dad just harvested the day before. It’s completely normal now. Drinking meant little to him.

Crazy how things can change in a couple decades.

Sounds like you went to a pussy school. You didn’t have the Cool Mom that would get the kids trashed so long as they took your keys and wouldn’t give them back before dawn? I went to high school 16 years ago, and that’s what we did.
