Even if he did say "white" guy, might not have meant the color of his skin. Back in the day it was "white"team and "red", "blue", etc. whatever color jersey the other team was wearing. Just in the past decade did the officials start actually using the name of the school or the team.

as a former white DB, i can confirm that we are slower, and need to interfere more just to keep up. however, we are much more subtle about it.
