Up until the attack, YES! very much so.

why couldn't a terrorist fall into this category?
because it is a life mission for them, they wouldn't bother fricking it up by doing a god dam DRY RUN at a fricking Wal Mart.

Most of them are pretty messed up in the head to start with anyways.
Then you and them have something in common.

Look, I am an LSU University Medalist, and got a 4.0 my first year of grad school at Illinois. I got a 32 on my ACT. So am I a genius? no. Am i dumb? no.
You were not there with me when this happened last night, so your blanket accusations about what isn't or is logical behavior are pretty arrogant.

This is the part I have the biggest problem with. If our intelligence agencies had been able to share information, we would have uncovered the 9/11 plot before it happened. One of the hijackers told his flight school instructor that he was only interested in takeoffs not landings. Doesn't that strike you as a stupid thing to do BEFORE the attack?
Geez, you make it sound like that our nation's best and brightest should go join Al-qaeda instead of going to Harvard. You are seriously overestimating the intelligence of these terrorists.

Will you please quit fricking comparing a cohesive national security breech and well thought out plan of 9/11 to walking into a fricking wal mart to blow it up. There is no comparison. It takes no planning or dry runs to blow up a wal mart. Believe me! I thought about blowing that bitch up myself a few times.

Well my blanket accusation stands that you are being an attention whore. Either you are a paranoid skitzo or the shite didn't happen. You have so many ups and downs in the story, at 1 point you were a hero that only had stopping these guys on your mind, then it's "it was my fight or flight reaction to do nothing".

I don't know what's going on in this thread... but I don't like terrorists.

Way to avoid the point that I brought up of these terrorists you describe as well thought out doing stupid stuff BEFORE the attack. i.e. the telling the flight school instructor that he was only interested in taking off not landing an aircraft. So what do you specifically have to say to counter that? My argument is that if these offical al-qaeda operatives can be so stupid as to tell their flight instructor that, that it is possible that al-qaeda sympathizers would be stupid enough to do a dry run at Wal-Mart.

I have 2000 posts over 4 years, i don't think that qualifies as an attention whore. My story has been consistent from the start. I have always stated that I was never going to tackle these guys until I knew for sure it was a terrorist attack. So until I could make that determination, i was frozen between the fight or flight response. I did what I thought was necessary, nothing more, nothing less. I value my life and the life of others, but I will not commit unnecessary risks for myself until the situation is truly dire.

rationality is all relative to what they believe is rational. our idea of being rational probably isnt the same

indeed, almost everyone has different standards for behavior they would consider suspicious.

In the military they teach you to always be aware of your surroundings... look out for possible threats. I don't see anything wrong w/ you being concerned w/ what you saw. If more people took action then maybe there wouldn't be so much fricked up shite going on in this country.

Is this thread still active
Two guys walk into a walmart and 400 posts later we still only know that according to General Lee--the man, not the car--that two guys walked into and out of a walmart.

Thank God that was all that happened.

He was aware that there were 2 guys and they had a car.

I know some dumb smart people. Just saying that academics and book smarts don't always translate into a highly functional member of society. Not saying this is you but that posting your GPA does not impress me.
I do believe you are being more paranoid than the situation warrants. I understand being suspicious of it but I have to agree with what Cocks and SFP were saying earlier.

Lee, since Al-Qeada almost hit your car pulling into their parking spot, give me the plate number so I can run it real quick to see what name Bin Laden is registering his rental cars under now-a-days

Hell, even if Bin Laden and Zawahiri were cruising down I-10, you wouldn't go out and arrest them if there was a good thread going on the OT.

What is your threshhold then for suspicious actions to justify being concerned? It sounds like you think it would only be ok to call the cops after they had blown half the people in Walmart to smithereens. These two men were acting like a team from the time they stepped out of the car, and were not acting like normal shoppers at Wal-Mart to say the least.

it has turned from a possible terriorist thread to General Lee bragging about his schooling

one post out of 400+ was about my education. I just don't like being called stupid. I may be a bit more suspicious of my surroundings than others, but I am not some "stupid redneck."
