The message based on a false narrative?

So Kaep's protests were 100% non-violent, non-aggressive, non-intrusive, and you want to drag him into this shite?

Guess you missed his tweet the other day? He dragged himself into this...

Kaep is a fraud. He’s lived a charmed life and was raised by a white family. Lebron has been worshipped and put on a pedestal since he was a teenager.

Exactly. They’ve never been oppressed yet have the sick liberal fetish of wanting to be oppressed.

There’s an entire swath of people out there who feel guilty about having no hardship in life so they latch on or invent causes to fight for.

Is this a secret? I think most people here will acknowledge this. He knelt for a bullshite cause.

I did. I think the OP is a silly false equivalency, but I acknowledge that Kaep put himself in the middle of this one.

Umm... That is pretty much universally known.

It's a false narrative that when law enforcement engages in brutality against black people, they are very rarely punished?

Nah, this is revisionist history. The vast majority of people going after Kaep back then were doing so for "disrespecting the anthem" or "disrespecting the troops" or "bringing politics into sports".

You left out 'non-effective'.

"I'm going to kneel down to stop cops from killing black people."

That fricking lame.

Ok, Kaep...

Yes.

As is the narrative that they are targeting for their skin color.

Both for me.

a) He is a bitch.
b) He came from a cushier neighborhood than I did. He has never been remotely oppressed.
c) He is just desperate for attention because he couldn’t cut it in the NFL.

That was me walking back my previous post and acknowledging I was wrong. I appreciate that so rarely happens here that it might catch one off guard, but I would have thought that my answering "I did" to a post about my missing his tweet would have made that clear

Hey, I think you're dead fricking wrong, but at least discussing the merits of the position is more productive than whining about whether kneeling makes bald eagles cry

Someone should post their address all over twitter and get people to start rioting there.

No, I didn't. Kaep is a frequent target on TD. I haven't been following the riots like it's my job, so I didn't realize he had tweeted about it. My first post reflected that ignorance. When it was pointed out, I looked it up and acknowledged that I had been wrong.

The fact that you think that's embarrassing speaks to why most people would rather gnaw off their own foot instead of acknowledging a mistake.

You're right, it wasn't effective. Now people are burning down buildings. But frick Kaep for trying a non-violent approach first, amirite?
