I'm not sure if it's a "trashy" thing, but I don't understand wearing a tie without a jacket. It just looks slobbish to me.

I see your point, I wouldn't care if my pall bearers wore flip flops and shorts, which I'm being cremated anyway so it's a moot point. But it just looked like something a group of guys would do during their SR year of HS with them all dressed in camo and orange hats.
