My on ground source is hearing that the back brace rumor is in fact correct.

Coates is a HUGE building. it will take time for LSUPD to clear it.
They have to clear it before issuing an alert

I think it’s because they have to make damn sure the building and surrounding areas are 100% safe. No cutting corners or assuming anything in these situations. The report was made and they have to investigate it fully before sounding the all clear.

Incredibly difficult to get something like this stopped once it gets rolling. The dangers of cell phones and internet. Before instant communication this would have all been stopped before the first person got alerted.
