A casino... in Tangipahoa Parish...

Elected officials and political types that wind up in federal prison related to this relocation. Over/Under: 3.5

Baw. Then what is it? They're proposing to move their operations and where they utilize their casino license. I call that a relocation.

It is my understanding that this is a new license and 2 sites are under consideration. Tangi or North LA.

Not that it matters. So what if it is a reloaction. Businesses relocate all the time.

Nothing negative about a relocation. You said so yourself, who cares. My point was it is a casino in Tangi. Someone's probably doing something illegal.

Go back and read the article. They bought a license. They're looking at moving where that licence is used. There is a set number of licences to operate a casino in the state. That's what makes them so valuable. It's why people have gone to jail over them in the past.

Peninsula Pacific announced the continuation of its 15-year presence in Louisiana with an effort to revitalize its existing gaming license through a new project that would result in a state-of-the art integrated gaming entertainment destination.

In December 2015, Peninsula Pacific purchased a Louisiana gaming license and acquired a struggling facility in Bossier Parish, with the intent of reinvesting in the license by developing an integrated entertainment and gaming destination. Following years of success in running gaming destinations around the country, Peninsula Pacific’s desire was to turn-around a struggling facility and establish a venue worthy of holding a rare Louisiana gaming license.

Two site locations are now under consideration for the revitalization of the existing license. One option is the expansion of its current Bossier Parish location to include a landside operation based around a newly constructed, integrated gaming destination. The other option Peninsula Pacific is considering is a relocation to Tangipahoa Parish directly south of Interstate 12 along the Tangipahoa River.

Dude don't put that on Tangi. It is no more illegal than any other place. You name me a casino anywhere in this world that isn't likely doing something illegal.

tangi's biggest problem is that outside of Hammond and ponchy Daniel Edwards is the king and nothing goes on without his involvement. It's really surprising that he and his family still have the grip that they have

one day the leadership of Hammond and ponchatoula will look a little farther over their own noses and do something about it, I hope. I love living here and the potential is there for real economic growth

have you been to this part of Tangi? they need this kind of thing. jobs and money are seriously lacking. and the location would be awesome and bring in major $$$ from those Mississippi casinos. as long as they do it right I'm all for it. not to mention a nice hotel on the northshore! there's not a nice hotel any where in the area. it's about time.

I voted for robbie Miller but mostly because Carlos is such a putz. But let's not pretend he was some kind of reform candidate or something. he's part of the same old same old he's just younger

Its a game dude. Stuff like this happens all of the time in politics. Edwards and Miller are tied at the hip, everyone knows this.

This.

As to the potential relocation, it’ll happen.

St Tammany with 300k will not allow gaming.

SW Mississippi (McComb, etc) will be closer to a Robert, LA facility than BR’s casinos.

Potential Market:
100% of Robert’s circle > 1/3-ish of Bossier’s Market

You could not pick a better spot than this to help the local politicians and drug dealers to launder their money. This stops them from having to drive to Harrahs in New Orleans to wash their I’ll-gotten gain.
