Now I know where to buy up a ton of currently cheap land.

Land in South Tangi, especially anywhere south of 12 between Ponchatoula and Madisonville is not cheap.

Laugh all you want but you don't know what your talking about.

The area between Ponchatoula and Madisonville is exploding with residential contruction along Hwy. 22. So much so that within the next few year Ponchatoula will either have to drastically expanding the High School or add another High School to the Ponchatoula district.

I thought Disney considered NO East back in the day? Was there another possible location considered on the northshore?

Why call it "Robert" when its in another parish? I dont know if thats Hammond or unincorporated, but its not Robert.

Either way, if they build a hotel there, you could kayak into Joyce WMA for great hunting.

Ok, so the area has some middle income development going on. I agree with that.
Does that support a casino resort? We have enough places where the old people and poor people can go waste their money in southeast La is all I was getting at.

If it weren't for the Wal-Mart DC in Robert, most folks would be ok with saying Hammond stretches from I55 to the St. Tammany line.

That is a weird place to put a damn casino. The land there is much cheaper than if you cross the line into st Tammany though.

Never said it did. I was just pointing out why they might put it there. There are still a lot of big tracts of land to be had and that area is growing like crazy. I wish it wasn't because this is where I live and there are too many people here already. But progress is a good thing I guess.

It will happen unfortunately.

That is extended Edwards family land and is across the interstate from JBEs campaign treasurer Andy Edwards land. Robbie Miller, Parish President, is a edwards machine politician.

JBE controls the license. A trashy casino is going to Ponchatoula/Robert.

Then vote out the Edwards machine.

They live to enrich themselves from political power whether it is inventing class action lawsuits against the oil industry or doing backside land deals with their cousins.
