Designing a house with my wife and it’s, uhh, exhausting

She (no pics) wants the house to be a certain square footage. She understands that. She doesn’t understand that making a room in the middle of house bigger makes the square footage jump by a large margin

Tell her to make the rooms bigger on the sides of the house instead of the middle. It’s less square footage….

And the bedrooms aren’t getting smaller and than they are drawn

I do facility design and system equipment flow design for my job. Engineer by title, but not officially.

Just make a blueprint version that satisfies her and then give a different one to the builders. She probably isn't going to measure the rooms after it's built.

10-1 at some point she will ask the builder to make the house "slightly" larger in order to get a larger closet(s) and question why the cost increased since its "only a closet"
