Design an afterlife (no matter what your religion or lack thereof)

OK. You get to design an afterlife. What do you do. Is it a place of reward AND a place of punishment?
What would you perfect "heaven" be? Clouds, angels, valhalla? 42 virgins?
What about "hell"? Would you go with one at all? If so, would you make it eternal? Or some place where people could earn their way to "heaven".

How about just a mulligan?

Nothing. I could use a rest from stimulus.

A place where LSU plays Oklahoma State for the national title everyday.

Eternity is horrifying when you think about it. You're going to be assed out when the sun expands or the galaxies collide. I'd rather live 1000 years and turn to dirt.

Basically a place where I can completely manipulate it at will, as can anyone else, and can infinitely expand with no limits. Pretty much just give me a much cooler and larger version of Minecraft that I can manipulate as I please and can visit other worlds that people can design that I couldn't imagine.

That's an easy one: McAllen TX.

Definitely. I could use a few do-overs just to explore the roads not taken.

Continual reincarnation to another human but not necessarily going forward in time. Eternal life would be exhausting.

Ultimate peace and instantaneous travel through out the universe , I'd love to visit other planets
Also, something like the Star Trek holo-deck would be nice , just to be able to live out any adventure or fantasy that you wanted.

My heaven would be mormon hell, complete with plenty of booze and pretty girls. My hell would be Islam heaven, complete with virgins who the next day turn into virgins again, forgetting everything I just taught them.

the mulligan is a great idea. But be given TOTAL RECALL once you hit 12 years old.

Yeah. It does seem kind of daunting. But I think I'd like the ability to travel anywhere in time and anyplace. I think I'd go back a few thousand years and follow one of line of my ancestors to see what they were up to in different time periods. Then I'd go back and follow another line. That should keep me going for awhile.
Then I'd go back and see check out some of the big events in history to see how they really happened. Battles, building of great monuments and buildings, significant discoveries, etc.
And maybe a nice hill with a beautifully manicured lawn and a great oak tree right next to a top notch fishing lake for when I want to take a break.

Heaven: Pure joy and adventure. I can do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. All my best friends and family would be there, or atleast appear to be but any connections would be as real as they can be.
Hell: There are worst things than the stereotypical burning in a lake of fire. It would probably be something involving complete and utter hopelessness and heartache. I remember a greek story about someone in hell charged with rolling a huge bolder up a hill. Whenever he got close though he'd always slip and itd roll all the way back down. He'd have to do it for eternity.

I think the afterlife will be like a deep never ending dream. We feel it lasts forever, but it only lasts the seconds between your body dying and your brain dying.
Hell, I would make it awesome full of parties and stuff and everything that is illegal and bad today. I would make it really cold during the day and hot at night.
Since I'm going there if it's real I want it to be nice.

Heaven would be a tailgate party outside Tiger Stadium leading up to an 8pm kickoff.
Hell is a place with many levels--in fact, due to population growth they had to add a few concentric circles since Dante's time. I managed to take a tour a few years ago and found this:
Purgatory (10-12 W Junction): The righteous
The righteous might be thrown for a loop, or lack thereof, when they find themselves in this nightmarish traffic cluster. But fear not. This torment, although awful, is only temporary. Soon they will find themselves in Paradise, where a banquet of the finest food and libations awaits.
Limbo (Nashville): Freeloaders
A place of sorrow without torment. There is good food and music, but those in Nashville are doomed to suffer eternal losing.
Level 1 (Athens): Ponzi scammers
Those doomed to this concentric circle of Hell will suffer from a warped sense of time and forever endure the frustration of falling just short of the Promised Land.
Level 2 (I-80): Poseurs, Drunk Drivers, Attention-Whoring Drama Queens
Interstate 80 is populated by pretenders who like to show up where they don't belong. These wannabes even stole their town name (Columbia) and mascot (Tigers) from others in a desperate attempt to look like they could run with the big boys.
Level 3 (The real Columbia): Arrogant Jackasses
Those who once exalted themselves are now humbled. Running up the score is a distant memory for the once proud ruling beast, Visors are frequently seen flying through the air.
Level 4 (Starkville): Loud Obnoxious Inbreeds
Those doomed to Starkville must wallow in filth, darkness, and mud because Starkville lacks the three virtues of civilization: plumbing, electricity, and paved roads.
Level 5 (Gainesville and the River Pryx): Bandwagoners and Revisionists
Contrary to what the heretics in Gainesville claim, college football was not invented in 1990. As punishment for their frontrunning, the damned are cast into the river. They are in over their heads and are slowly sinking toward the bottom.
Level 6 (Knoxville): Gluttons
Knoxville is in the middle of a sharp drop-off. Those cast into this nauseating sea of road crew orange are just a shell of what they once were. They ended up here after selling their soul to a known charlatan, only to see him disappear quickly and leave them with nothing.
Level 7 (Lexington): Cheap Shot Artists
The inhabitants of Lexington are often teased with false hope, only to have it dashed in soul crushing fashion. They often try to distract themselves by cheating at basketball.
Level 8 (Oxford): Metrosexuals, Neoconfederates
This level of Hell occasionally appears to rise toward Paradise, only to "fall backwards" into the desolate abyss. Those cast into Oxford are tormented by delusions, such as believing that chandeliers and fine china are the keys to great tailgating. They are so desperate for glory that they hang banners to celebrate minor accomplishments.
Level 9 (Fayetteville): Adulterers, Sore Losers, Hypocrites, Cowardly Quitters
Fayetteville is the eternal fate of those who throw into the end zone with a big lead and then cry about field goals. The wretched sinners cast into this circle are punished with a faceplant into a roadside ditch. The smell of pig manure here is overwhelming, and the entire area is a glorified prison facility.
Level 10 (College Station): Cult Members, Sheepshaggers
College Station is most notable for its extreme heat and its bizarre lack of female cheerleaders. Boys in tight pants can be seen fleeing sword-wielding minions. The damned worship grass and collies for some reason, and they suffer an eternal inferiority complex caused by a strange god named Bevo.
Level 11 (The Plains): Slave Traders, Thieves
The Plains are just "down the road" from the deepest part of Hell. Those doomed to this trailer park swear they had no idea what was going on. It is quite possible that this concentric circle will one day be Vacated.
Level 12 (Tuscaloser): Traitors, Cheaters, Idolaters
The home of the devil, an ill-tempered two-faced midget. The damned are tormented by the sound of the NCAA hammer falling, again and again and again and again...

Seems like that could get boring. Need some stimulus in there somewhere.

Hot chicks, disease-free sex. Unlimited supply of morphine and cocaine in solution. Ample supply of quality left-handed guitars. Walking trails for taking my dogs on walks. No need for work, money, etc.
