Seen plenty of really really bad roach houses. Those aren’t the worst though.
Try going into a house massively infested with fleas. By the time you realize what you have walked into they will be crawling all over you.

Worked for a heating and cooling company in my early 20's. Went into this house to work on the A/C in the middle of summer, it was a miserable hot and humid Alabama summer day. We walk in and the smell was unreal. The owner had 4 Boxer dogs in the house and giant mounds of dog shite everywhere. I mean everywhere. He let us in then sat down in his recliner and finished his lunch. The hallway smell was mildew and urine and it was overwhelming. I will never understand how people live like that.

Just one dog in the house is enough to make it ducking disgusting if it sheds. I hate getting hair on my clothes.

In my early twenties, I had a friend I used to hang out with all the time. However, we never went inside his house. And, honestly I never thought much of it. One day I did his mom a favor and picked his little sister up from school. She actually let's me in the house and it's a vision that still haunts me to this day. Just trash on top of trash. There was no space to walk or do anything. I was in complete shock. It was fricking disgusting.

Girl I dated a long time ago. Went to visit, crap piled everywhere, looked at the coffee table, and saw a plate of food. It had been there so long, it had mold all over it.
I went to my friends parents house once. You couldn’t put anything down on the kitchen counters. They were stacked with stuff like dirty plates, rags, books, and magazines

Had a memorable dinner at Parlange plantation in Point Coupee parish. The owners were incredibly eccentric. Never saw a house more cluttered. There was museum quality furniture covered with Stucky’s quality trinkets covering every surface. Kitchen was off limits. Friend who was related went back to drop some plates. Said there was crap everywhere.

Not a home, but a business, Rental company, stopped there to get dry ice. Freezer was off the break room. Every flat surface of the table and countertop in the break room was covered in garbage, dirty dishes, and junk. The floors hadn't been swept in,,,, possibly ever. Place was an absolute craphole.

Serious question. How does someone let their house become roach infested? I put several roach motels throughout the house, when I see a roach I replace them..
I understand old people living by themselves, but I am talking about people who are able to do for themselves.. How do they let that shite happen?

You aren't lying. I did oest control in the ghetto a while back and did a home that was so bad that it looked the ground was moving. On top of that, they had an awful german roach infestation. Once you smell german roaches, you will never forget it. It blows my mind how people can live like that.
