I still wouldn't be surprised to get a verdict after only a few hours.

I once witnessed a trial in Judge Waldron's court. He was so disgusted with the defense's closing that he turned his chair to face the wall. And I could see he was shaking his head.

I would think that they take an initial vote and go from there. Discussions and more discussions and then cite again.

At some point they’ll need to figure out if there’s any way to change the mind of a person/s holding out. If they say nothen I’d guess they can give up.

But then a judge might say “go back”.

At what point do deliberations end? Like who makes the decision that they won't reach a verdict? Alternatively, how long do juries usually go before reaching a conclusion like that? I have no idea on the process.

They can come back hung and the Judge could order them to keep at it.

I'm not paying attention - I assume deliberations will begin in the morning?

So the prosecutor blames Chauvin for putting Floyds face towards the tailpipe and then claims there wasn't any evidence that the car was even on.

at some point the jury will tell the judge "hey... we've discussed the evidence at length and we have some serious differences of opinions in here... I don't think we'll be able to get a unanimous verdict"

the judge will likely give them some instructions in the hopes of breaking the deadlock and send them back in for a little while longer

if maybe another day or so goes by with no unanimous verdict... then the judge will declare a mistrial

my question is... if there's 1 juror who's a lone holdout... could the other jurors say "this juror is being unreasonable" and get the judge to toss that juror and put in an alternate?

So the judge just told prosecution to be careful with the use of the word "stories"?

The tailpipe theory is laughable, You would have to be in an enclosed environment or have a hose pumping it into a car for that to have that kind of an effect.

Don't forget - the judge still has a bunch of that packet still to read to them.

I thought the drugs found in the car were also in floyd's system, no? This prosecutor is saying otherwise

Only if that jurist was being unlawful or breaking the judges directions.

Didn't the pill found in the car have Floyd's saliva on it?
