I hate how the comment was read after Nelson's closing. It gives the appearance to the jury that he said something improper.

so the prosecution's rebuttal is:
" What he said was bullshite"
" What he said was bullshite"

Well that was the basis of the motion and he sort of did.
ETA I agree with you though timing wasn't the best for him

Defense made a motion to have the judge re-read an instruction bc they believe Nelson made a comment contradictory to the law....
The judge didn't agree, but agreed to re-read one instruction that the argument of counsel is not law or evidence

Is this usually how it works? He's just saying Nelson lied the whole time.

I thought they made the jury walk out for 5min while that was said?

Jerry Blackwell - Special Prosecutor - is talking way too fast and almost slurring words - hard to follow - I turned off the sound and it's much easier to watch and make my own assessment

State made a motion regarding Nelson saying intent was needed to be demonstrated and asked for additional jury instruction. Judge didn't give a new one just reminded them of it that he is the only one who can tell them what the law requires.

What was that objection from Nelson?
