The judge isn't wrong in his thinking to be fair. At the end of his statement, he didn't say it, but kinda hinted this unrest may be good for the defense.
If these jurors want corrective action, stick with the police.

Just a hunch - maybe the judge feels that a mistrial is more likely if the jury is sequestered. It would be easier to locate the jury in a hotel and easier for them to be tampered with.
I don't necessarily agree with that thought, but just an idea.
I agree that Nelson's list on appeal appears to be growing.

Nelson can just attack the fact that this guy has zero experience in determining cause and manner of death outside of a hospital setting. He doesn’t even need to go after his medical testimony if he doesn’t want to.
