I was listening to a little bit of the HLN coverage they tried to have fair and balance commentary but overall it was totally slanted to supporting murder..

And this is what the general public is being fed every night distorting people's opinions, such as our all white male lawyer group that was posted about earlier.

If no, or we can’t say to a certainty, then I think the death would have to be attributable to the actions of the officer.

I hope you know how stupid this sounds and you have in effect ruined the ruse that you are a lawyer. I have never read such an enormously horrible take on this website. I don't think you can ever recover, you should probably delete your account.

I agree but Hall providing the pills that let to Floyds demise is a 3rd degree murder charge.

Do you think its possible that they can go after the $27 million ?.... Recover SOME of it ?? its only been a year maybe 6 months (thats a lot of cash to blow).
Also, if GF was a huge, jacked, work out fanatic with enormous muscles... how can a 140 pound puny dude do that kind of damage.... I walked around Disney with my daughter on my shoulders (and the back of my neck) for hours and she's pushing a hundred. *Full disclosure* I did it with no oxy or Fentanyl either

Here is an example of the real oxycodone tablets the lab technician described.

After the revelation GF was spitting up counterfeit versions of the above pill that consisted of meth and fentanyl, I'm seriously wondering why all charges haven't been dismissed.

Also the Police Chief said passing counterfeit money is not something they arrest people for. Apparently GF had a stack of fake 20's. How much counterfeit money can you have before it is considered to be enough of a crime to warrant an arrest?

Not many people know this, but counterfeiting is a federal crime that the secret service investigates and has jurisdiction over.

Yes, the secret service isn't just charged with protecting the President and are an actual branch of federal law enforcement and investigation. They have a few specialties that they have investigative powers and jurisdiction over nationwide, and counterfeiting is one of them.

So when he said it's not something THEY would arrest Floyd for, it's most likely because the investigation would be handed over to Secret Service so the source of the money could be rooted out

You'd be surprised. I bet 90% of the general public believe the Secret Service only protects the President and is basically his armed security detail

I'm pretty sure that anyone that has ever taken high school civics is aware The Secret Service is part of the Treasury Department.

Ok bud, I'll stop cluttering up the thread then.

But you asked this:

...and I gave a possible reason as to why. No reason to be a smartass when you're the one that posed the question to begin with.

It is a requirement in Louisiana at public schools.

My kids have either taken it or will take in order to graduate in Tennessee. (private school though)

It wasn't a very good reason. The FBI is in charge of kidnapping and bank robbery. But if the local police come across either of those, they don't issue a misdemeanor citation and release the offender until the FBI can catch up with them.

I was curious because I just found out my great-nephews 1st class each day was where they were taught to be respectful and nice to each other. I told him life isn't like that and he should pick out the weak kids and crush their spirits now.. my niece just glared at me.

We all know what local cops do about illegal immigrants...

Something else that they shout "That's not our problem" as it's a federal issue.
