Chauvin looks like a doofus sitting there taking notes. I bet hes writing down everything everyone says to make himself look busy versus just staring into space.

Prosecutor asked him a question about Lawful practices looking awful. He asked it in a way that he was expecting the witness to say it wasn't lawful and therefore awful instead the witness again went through that people may think it looks bad but its still lawful.

40lbs of gear? That seems high. About how much does a vest weigh?

Yeah, that definitely seems way too high. A loaded Glock is only about 3-4 pounds. His radio is about 1 pound. Everything else is 1 pound or under. The vest appears to be soft armor which wouldn't weigh more than a couple of pounds at most.

I would think, at most, he's wearing 15 pounds of gear.

If you were on trial for murder you would just sit back and hope someone else catches everything that might allow you to walk?

Wow almost like his attorney told him to take notes so he wasn't staring.

I just looked it up. Vest are between 5-8lbs. So you are right. Less than 20 lbs.

Geekboy alter?

Who cares that he's taking notes. What is he supposed to do? Just sit there silently twiddling his thumbs?

I'm looking forward to see how the nuts on the HLN panel try to spin today's testimony.

That's more inline with what Infantryman can wear. I can't see how a cop, much less a senior one, would routinely put that much on as a daily uniform.

Yes, 40-60lbs is full combat load. Chauvin was nowhere near that.

I got in trouble for bringing up a similar observation.

Just ask the AP. The cop in DC that was killed by the muslim extremist died after "being rammed by a car". NO mention of the muslim extremist.
