Pretty sure you do for federal court jury selection, I would think so for state as well

So it’s not a great idea to lie to get intentionally dismissed, good to know

They are under an oath. I watched one of them take it.

Well in this case if you don’t want to be selected, just say you are happy this happened...... they will let you go quickly.....

I would. It'd be an honor to stand for justice in this case.

I refer everyone to the YouTube link I posted a few pages back of comedian Dan Cummins talking his experience with jury duty

"even though I watch a lot of crime shows, I still can't fully wrap my head around what 'contempt of court' actually means, but I did feel that I was trending in that direction"

I thought someone said court TV. But if you can stream it is on youtube as an uninterrupted stream by The Washington Post. That's how I'm watching. There's 0 outside commentary. Just a camera pointing at the judge and the lawyers.

This juror is incredibly timid. He seems very intimidated or scared just to speak. Says hes a musician and I wouldn't be surprised if he is very introverted.

I was thinking the same thing.. He's scared to answer questions wrong instead of just answering.

It’s strange. I haven’t watched all of them but the ones I have either sound extremely confident or can barely get a sentence out.

There’s no middle ground.

Kind of expected considering it’s a pretty high pressure situation
