Pretty big of him to admit he would take a financial hit but this was his civic duty and he was prepared to weather it.

Next lady up is a single mom who says she probably wouldn't be able to stay in a hotel for a month. Also couldn't set facts aside that she'd seen in the media.

Not sure why they are bothering to continue questioning her. She admits being negative towards Chauvin.

She just said the property damage was totally justified. They're striking her for sure.

She said she isn't changing her mind over the video. Clearly biased.

Now the judge is questioning her. I haven't seen that quite yet.

He has done that before but has struck then when he does. He will strike her she said she would hate a not guilty verdict.

Prosecutor is an idiot argueing that the judge shouldn't have dismissed her and the defense should have veen forced to use one of their strikes.

I mean as a lawyer trying to get a conviction she's a guaranteed guilty verdict. So of course he'd go after getting her on the jury. But as a public servant that's pretty awful. She was clearly biased. Glad the judge seems to be holding a fair trial thus far.

I wonder if some of these jurors do this on purpose in order to not get selected

#38 is a business owner and didn't like the protest/riots nor the lockdowns. Thinks the media hypes racism.

Yeah, this guy’s a goner.

“Unfortunately, I married a Minnesota girl.”

And is going to be sleeping in the couch for a bit.

Yup. This has been looking like what would happen since the beginning of his testimony. Judge apparently gave each side 3x the normal number of strikes.

Yes, and some answer in a certain way in hope of getting selected. The type that have a strong feeling about a case one way or the other may want to answer in a way that gets them a seat even if the answers are a lie.

There was a local case a few years ago that had I been selected, I would have done everything I could to get a seat on the jury just to convict.

Dumb question, are the jurors under oath?
