I think people are talking past one another.

Some are pointing out how pervasive CRT, BLM, Black History Month, etc thinking is (and it is) vs who's actually going to be seated on the jury. I think Judge is of the opinion that voir dire will filter out most of it.

I'm highly skeptical that it will.

Think of it like this: every black person seated on that jury in order to convict Washington, Carter, or Uncle Lee will have to go home and disavow what approx 90% of their "community" stands-for, votes for, and drinks from.

I wonder if they will arrest and file charges on the 17 yo sister Jasmine Shoales for the threats made on WAFB facebook comments.

Jasmine has some interesting friends on FB especially the one with the weapons and throwing out what looks like 504 gang signs.

I believe in the first days of the arrests, either from a description of the video evidence or the testimony of the boys themselves, she was described as slurring and visibly slumped over in the backseat of the car. I'd have to find earlier threads.

It appears my post regarding the weeding out of the WAFB-type posters on a potential jury was one that was removed. Not sure how it was off topic-but whatever. Its not clear this case will even get that far, so no sense wasting time debating the BR jury selection process.

I was about to post it but you beat me to it.

Mention it if you want. However, when mostly two posters turned thread into a their own personal social project, I felt that it needed to be cleaned up.

Four pages of arguing about single parent homes really had nothing to do with the death of Madison Brooks. Unfortunately a few other posts may have been unintentionally sacrificed.
