Because the statements they gave completely line-up with the evidence we have. Kaivon and Casen both say she was pissy drunk. If they're going to lie, they're not going to make up statements that incriminate them.

Our legal systems in action.
If a white sorority girl gets really drunk and......
1.) drives drunk and kills people - she is responsible for her actions.
2.) handles a firearm and kills people - she is responsible for her actions.
3.) does ANYTHING on this planet other than having sex with black guys - she is responsible for her actions.
4.) has sex with black guys - no reasonable person could expect her to be held accountable for her actions.

I assumed the same .. I’m in no way sheltered but didn’t know that black out drunk didn’t mean passed out drunk.

It isn't just the fact that they are black, it's all of the factors put together. You act as if it were 2 white guys who did this or if it were 2 white guys and an attractive black girl, then everyone would say "oh well".
This wasn't like she went out drinking with her black boyfriend, whom she's had sex with before and they went to his apartment and had sex and she wanders out of his apartment into the street while intoxicated and gets hit by a car.

I've watched a guy who was black out drunk cook a jambalaya. 20 gallons worth.
There were 4 of us at the camp.
There was no reasoning with him. And he wouldn't give up his keys, so we simply boxed his truck in either trucks. He austin powered for a good twenty minutes before giving up, passing out, and idling into a tree.

The big thought of social justice is that because some members of a group may have suffered some injustice in the past, present members of said group should be excused for wrongdoings in the present.
So say in 1923 Louisiana, a black guy was killed by a mob for having consensual sex with a white girl, then to atone for it, guys like Kaivon and Desmond should be allowed to get away with what they did today, whether they're guilty or not.
Actual justice is everyone is responsible for their own deeds.

1. People she killed did not consent to being hit and killed due to her drunken state

4. Not accountable because the perp, male or female, willingly engaged in behavior with the drunken person
In your scenarios 1-2, the person killed by the drunk person would have to be consenting to being killed, after the drunk begged to kill them, to look anything like scenario 4.
