I would say the detective should have taken the idiots for a ride to personally show them exactly there, but who knows?
You want them to keep talking. So you don't necessarily want to escalate it enough to have them lawyer up, which is what happened with Washington.
I think you gotta defer to the detective. And, hell, he got a great deal out of them.

When they came in they were read their rights but they believed it was just to clear up the traffic accident. They didn't know they were about to be charged with rape.
They took them out riding in a car that likely would have set off the radar but it would have been good evidence.
I wonder if they asked the perps if they'd go for a ride?

Where are getting this? Every timeline I've seen said they walked away from the bar at 1:51am and we in the car leaving at 1:54am. 2:50am is when EBRSO got the call about her being hit.

He got a great deal out of them about what they beleived about her condition: 'drunk drunk.'
Unable to to consent to sex? "I guess."
He did a pro job and the affidavit is solid as can be.

Has it been revealed if DNA profiles were acquired or not? I'd think they'd likely still have been caught even if they had all lawyered up if DNA was acquired.

It looks like he is using a program. It is created by 365Labs, which is based here in Baton Rouge and makes software for law enforcement. You can see it on the footer.

By now, they maybe have reviewed the camera footage from that area.

According to the Google map at 962 Jennifer Jean Dr., filmed April 2022, the driveway where the dummy`s say they raped her appears to be a vacant duplex. The windows are boarded up on the inside. There aren’t any visible cameras on that duplex but the one next door does and the convenience store does. So maybe by now there is footage giving a time line and of the idiots raping her and getting in and out of the vehicle like they said when they convicted themselves.

One thing to keep in mind is that Google street views aren't necessarily current. Not saying that address looks any different today, but that pic is from April of last year.

They would have given one when arrested.
§609. Drawing or taking of DNA samples
A.(1) A person who is arrested for a felony or other specified offense, including an attempt, conspiracy, criminal solicitation, or accessory after the fact of such offenses on or after September 1, 1999, shall have a DNA sample drawn or taken at the same time he is fingerprinted pursuant to the booking procedure.

I could see Reggie's closing after all this as Murphy's did in the 80s.
I hope so
I’m gonna buy the place and fix it up
Make it a classy joint and call it Reginald’s
Or a safe space for women and call it Regina’s

Only works if the perps were in the database. Was Kaivons sample in the database from his previous rape?

I can see what appears to be cameras on the house next door. They are seemingly intentionally directed at the 962 house. Perhaps it was a nuisance property and the cameras are actually functional. With the NO PARKING sign in the window, my guess is that these neighbors have had issues before, hence the cameras. Certainly the police have requested footage from both locations,
It also appears that atop the big utility pole is a huge flood light pointed directly at the property, in addition to the street light. Assuming both are functioning (big assumption) perhaps there is something that can be gleaned from inside a car at night.
My feeling is that the barest of info has been provided to the public. There is likely a mountain of evidence being held back. These mouth breathers don't look like they have two brain cells to rub together. They'd have to be astronomically lucky to have pulled this stunt in a drunken stupor and cover their tracks.

The arrest DNA of the accused will be compared to the DNA recovered in the medical examination after the accident.

First, if they did video the rape that's a crime (video voyeurism).
The first guy who raped her was 17. If they videoed that, video voyeurism will be the least of their worries. That's federal child pornography.
And Murphys closed in the mid-90s when an SAE pledge died of alcohol poisoning with others at Murphys that night also going to the hospital. The alcohol served at the bar directly caused the death. In this case, these 4 guys caused Madi's death.

GEICO HAD TO PAY $5M last year
Pretty sure that was the result of a screwball procedure in Wisconsin or somewhere that allowed insurer to get screwed.
That would not happen in Louisiana IMO.
Plus, there is zero chance this guy had more than minimum limits on the car.

I feel guilty that I chuckled a bit at this.
I've been to a parent event at Freds, never inside Reggies (although a Regina's might earn my business) I remember feeling the hair stand up on my neck walking past a group of black SUVs on that corner across the street. My son nonchalantly said those are gang members, don't make eye contact and they'll leave you alone. I wanted to reorient myself with respect to this case and was looking at google maps. It appears to be in an island of just crappy housing. In a perfect world, the entire thing should be razed and turned into green space (with a few alligators to detract trespassers) The surrounding areas would be better off for it. Is the area around Chimes much better? Could business loans be encouraged to develop that small strip of shops/bars?

Anyone have the ability to do a map of likely paths they took?
From location of rape.
They wanted to just get back to Walker and previous poster said Stanford was the way to go for that. That would have brought them close to her sorority house where she could have found help.
Instead, they head down Burbank and then? To Essen? I'm thinking these guys had maps (Waze, Apple) on to guide them as they were from Walker and not college students.
Was there another stop the uncle needed to make on the way home?
They dropped her about 2 miles from Gardere.
She wound up shortly after at 2:50 a.m., raining, trying to flag down random cars on a 55 mph road for help while severely intoxicated.
