I've always held the theory that these departments put them with their best "social" officers and stick them in a somewhat fringe area so that they get some entertainment, but not full blown ghetto disputes all night. They seem to try to keep the race of the suspects pretty evenly split. Keeping them out of the deep ghetto also likely keeps the chances low of them rolling up to something they don't want on TV.

I may. Are you talking about the tall dude from Spokane that warmed your soul?
I am talking about the short one that always tells people he will cut them a deal if they tell on themselves. He never pulls anybody over that he doesn't smell pot, or see residue. No matter what they are pulled over for, he searches their car.

The one thing I've learned watching this show is that if a cop needs probable cause to search something, all they have to do is bring the dog out. The dog always "hits" on something - it's uncanny.

That's Denver Leverett and Flex in Jeffersonville, IN. He'll be in studio this week. He is a narcotics officer, so all he does all day is look for drugs.

Richland County said on Twitter a couple of days ago that Mastrianni would be back soon. They said he had been busy with other assignments and spending time with his wife. I personally believe that the huge amount of attention thrown on him and the traumatic incident where he had to tackle a guy holding a small child really threw him off of his game. He even said in an interview he couldn't sleep for days after it happened. I believe that he has been sidelined until he is ready to go back out on the streets.
Richland County works its deputies hard when it comes to community policing. I have no idea how they have time for anything else. I'm assuming that's why we see guys/women such as Garo Brown, Addy Perez, Mark Laureano, and Steven Tapler more often this season is because the regulars from last season are worked 24/7 with stuff other than patrol. Robert Beary has disappeared, and I'd love to see him back.

Yeah, Tulsa pulled out after that incident. They had a few others that likely contributed, such as when the two officers were fighting a gang member trying to get a gun out of his waistband, but the profiling definitely pushed them over the edge. They shouldn't have been surprised that something like that happened, though, considering they were following the damn gang unit.
I'm shocked Tulsa lets him be in studio so often.

definitely the case with Lake County. That poor cop was settling a dispute over leaves in the wrong yard!! I'd tase both homeowners for being chicken shite and petty.

I've heard that Lake County is about as boring white people crime as it gets. I can't confirm it, though.

I never understood how Greenville let that Gibson fella on TV. He reminded me of PacMan from Colors. I felt like he was an excessive force or civil rights violation ticking time bomb.
