I love the way the media acts all high and mighty...

Why does a restaurant worker have her preschool aged son at work with her? And Denny’s corporate statement doesn’t mention anything about whether any of their employees were fired after they assaulted and cursed out a news crew. Pretty bad look

Shouldn't the news team be at the Owners(if privately owned), Manager, or Denny's local corporate place???
Watch the raw video at the link in OP.
The reporter walked in, asked for a manager. The hostess said there is no manager at the restaurant. He said, "well somebody has to be in charge here right?" and then they got angry.
He was looking for a manager the entire time and then they decided to make it their business instead of walking away from him.

The problem I have is the way she's talking and acting in front of her toddler. She's going to find out the hard way that kids pay more attention than we think, and will act out and imitate her actions on somebody else (sibling, teacher, etc.).

The employees should be fired for assaulting the guy, but a business should be within its rights to tell people recording video in their business to leave. The media isn't special.

How is asking them about the conditions in the store "fricking with workers"?
Those morons are the ones who are supposed to clean up.
And it seems the woman, who respectfully doesnt want her son to see negativity, screams abusive and curse words and assults others, is one of the management personnel

I think they have to leave that up to the Franchisee. I do not believe the corporation can step in and make employment decisions. They can insist that the Franchisee make these decisions or face a hefty penalty/fine; but not sure they can do it directly.
I'd wonder what sort of language is in the contract if corporate feels the need to take it over from the Franchisee. Based on the results of the health inspection & the actions of the employees; I am sure they will have this location on a short leash and most likely set them up to either turn this around or become in breach of contract.

She should definitely not bring a sick child to work. It is not OK for her to subject hundreds of diners to a sick child. He should have stayed home with his father.
