A government think tank said consumers were 'ethically obliged' to change their eating habits in a bid to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

According to the council, from the society’s point of view the cow tax would be the cheapest way to reduce greenhouse gasses.

Denmark probably contributes .0000000000000000000000000000000000001% of greenhouse gases on this Earth

Now, if China and Brazil did some shite like this, maybe it'd make some sort of difference in global emissions.

What does that tax go towards? How does that help the world? Is the goal just to reduce the demand for beef through higher prices?

I'll do my part for Mother Earth by grilling the cow.

If this isn't a Southpark episode, it should be.

For those who weren't in school in the late 80s and early 90s, cattle flatulence was cited as a source of 15% of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

And of course the solution was to halt large-scale cattle ranching, specifically in South America for some reason. And I remember McDonald's was supposed to take a big hit from that.
