Upper NW being exposed to shear?

Anything to back this up or just projecting?
Seems like it has taken a more northward movement a little ahead of schedule and it seems like that ridge to the east is weakening just a little (which is why it is a little more symmetric).
It will still come in between LC and Lafayette, but I think more east and at a "sharper" NE angle

IIRC he was the one that alerted everyone in the middle of the night to get to Walker by the interstate if they could to help get people out, that the water was coming up fast

don't be surprised to see the track shift east a little for the 4 am update.
I thought that was already anticipated

Maybe you can drive down to Creole and become poster #5 who has experienced sustained hurricane force winds.
Bring an anemometer. TIA.

The more I watch that gif of the storm the more it looks like it’ll be a crowley landfall

I’m surprised the cell by walker isn’t tornado warned at this time

100 TD points for whoever trolls a TWC personality on air (TWC only... not a local meteorologist just trying to work)

Tough to make landfall at a city 30 miles inland

All this wobble watching and the 00z GFS comes in as far west as it ever has, basically due south of LC.

The GFS laughs at wobbles
