Unspent round from Richard Allen's gun (.40) is how they got the guy. Though what is surprising is that he could have been on the radar for the past 5 years. He was interviewed saying that he was on the bridge from 1:30 TO 3:30 and was wearing the same clothes as seen in the video and as reported by 3 witnesses. then the guy walks across a regular road and goes back to his parked car muddy and bloody.
Apparently he had one in the chamber and racked another to scare the girls, and was unaware that it fell to the ground between the 2 dead girls. And he kept the gun all of this time. Not the sharpest tool in the shed.
yahoo story

I hope he gets his arse split open with a metal pipe in prison. Then when it heals gets the shite beat out of him until he dies.

How did they match the unspent round to his gun?
Of all the gun owners, how'd they pick his gun to compare to?
One of the witnesses named him? They went back to day 1 and said 'ooops, here's a guy'?

What are you, an idiot? Need someone to hold your hand in the bathroom, too?

There was extraction markings on the round. It had been cycled through his weapon.
They searched his home and found he had the same cal weapon. Took it and tested it.
Multiple witnesses placed him on the trail the same time the girls were there. He was also seen walking and appeared to be "muddy and bloody." He was not called out by name but described by those multiple witnesses. He admitted to being on the trail around that time.
There was alot of info in the main thread yesterday.

He came forward as a witness early in the case.

I read an article yesterday where one of the victims grandmothers was quoted as to saying she had photos printed for the funeral at either at a CVS and Allen was the one who printed the photos for her, and he didn't charge her. Pretty wild stuff.
Also worth noting that it never references the gun as the murder weapon. That was some type of knife, or something else that was sharp.

I'd guess that he used the gun to control them, but used the knife up close.
I'd also bet that he's friends with that incel garbage human K Kline, and I hope he gets nailed for this as well.

Because an unspent shell doesn't tell you who the owner is without the gun itself.

Unfortunately, it's mainly only stupid criminals that get caught. But glad this dude was one of the dumb ones and this case can finally get some closure.
