The jurors are from Allen County and will be transported across the state to the Carroll County vicinity and settled into their sequestration lodging tomorrow.
I have been summoned to appear in November. This would be a nightmare, but I don’t think we have anything like this case locally. At some point this stuff pushes any holdouts to just want to be done with it. The last time I was on jury the one’s siding with plaintiff just came up with a total $ amount on a whim that felt right to them without calculations or even breaking it down by category and just lumped it all into the first category of injury or damages. After not even 2 days including the time for the selection process they were all ready to go. They even brought up it will be paid by insurance and not the defendant justification. When read the plaintiff got really happy with 1st reward and thought it was going to continue only to hear $0, $0, $0 up to how many they had. She wasn’t as happy afterwards. I was the only one to vote against both the decision and the reward. I am hoping that plays to my favor if I am placed in a potential jury pool for a civil suit, and hopefully the local plaintiff’s attorneys have covertly blackballed me.

Is the death penalty on the table for this case?

No death penalty.

Today is The Day (This is what ISP Superintendent said at every press conference about this case, meaning today will be day justice can be had for Liberty German and Abigail Williams.)

Thank for this link, crazy that someone from the town on a 4chan thread dropped the name Richard years ago then backtracked when pressed. I want to know more about this.

I'd like to know the forensics on the bullet/gun match
It does seem like the evidence against him is a little weak at first blush but I don't follow this as much as yall

Seems a bit horseshite that they can't use the suspect sketches.

Do the jurors see these ribbons on the exterior of the courthouse? It seems odd that the court would allow this.

Four journalists already banned from the trial - accused of taking video of the jurors' van
Any journalist who does this should be banned from ever working in the field again and frankly, they should be automatically sent to prison. They did this during the Floyd and Rittenhouse trials to try and intimidate jurors, too.

I don’t know, wondered same thing. Guessing since jurors are not using main entrance they can’t see the ribbons.

It was an unspent round from a semiautomatic handgun. It is reportedly the ejection markings. I do not know nearly enough about this subject to even speculate. However, from what I have read specifically related to this case it is not a definite science.
Any firearm experts feel free to weigh in.

Seems prejudicial to me. Hopefully the van(s) carrying the jurors don't pass by any of the columns on which they are attached like in the picture you just posted.

Unredacted warrant
Basically, a pistol is a machine. Even like machines leave different identifying tool marks. Even though the round wasn't fired, it was chambered and ejected leaving enough identifiable tool marks that the state police could match and positively ID which pistol it came from.

An identification opinion is reached when the evidence ahibim' an agreement of class characteristics and suflicient agreement of individual marks. Suflicient agreement is related to the significant duplication of random striated/impressed marks as evidenced by the correspondence of pattern or combination of patterns of surface contours. The interpretation of identification is subjective in nature, and based on relevant scientific research and the reporting examiners training and experience.

Investigators then ran the firearm and found that the firearm was purchased by Richard Allen in 2001. Richard Allen voluntarily came to the Indiana State Police post on October 26'", 2022. He spoke with investigators and stated that he never allowed anyone to use or borrow the Sig Sauer Model P226 firearm. When asked about the unspent bullet, he did not have an explanation of why the bullet was found between
the bodies of Victim and Victim 2. He again admitted that he was on the trail but denied knowing Victim or Victim and denied any involvement in their murders.

DNA of unknown hair found in Abby’s hand possibly matches female relatives of Libby German. Abby had spent previous night at Libby’s home and reportedly was wearing a borrowed hoodie from their home.

Were either of the girls sexually assaulted? I admit that I don't know many of the details of this case. Trying to figure out what was the killer's motive.

To the best of my knowledge no, but purportedly Libby was found unclothed and Abby had been re-dressed in some of Libby’s clothing (Libby took pic of Abby that day on bridge, so LE knew what she was wearing.)

So odd and very creepy.
