I've never had one try to steal, but that front bar has the worst service of any in town for me.

The problem with Downtown is price. 1913 priced out college kids. There's a number of places that charge $6/beer and $20 for bourbon... F that

City Bar just renovated. I have not been there to tell if it is drawing enough people

Driftwood is a decent little place

Happy's back patio is actually pretty fun if the band is good

B&T was one of my favorite spots to drink and dance when i was younger.

Jolie Pearl sucks donkeydick

BRPD ran off a lot of the revelers when merchants wanted to be more upscale and complained about open container issues.

Happy’s can be fun at times and the Driftwood Cask and Barrel for the beer peeps that are all about them IPA’s.

Around 2 am is when NBR comes out and roams 3rd Street. Seen a fair share of hood rat fights take place right in front of the Mobile BRPD unit that patrols 3rd st.

You laugh but I have been dealing with stupid people stopping me on Third and Main asking me if Mathernes is a department store.

I don't know if you consider a $120 bill for 2 beers stealing but it's happened to me before

Can we get a GREAT Scotch bar and not downtown and not pandering to 21 year olds who just want to get laid? The married folks who are now lame -- myself included -- get this...wanna go to a place for JUST the drinks. And we are the ones that will spend 100. Baton Rouge has a horrific bar layout. You go to Tigerland or downtown or the Bulldog. The PelicanHouse could not even stay open.
Broome ordered BRPD to enforce open-container laws, which hadn't been enforced in decades
oohh bullshite. There was a 2-3 year stretch where open containers we're looked over.

Driftwood isn't the best cocktail lounge,
is it geared for cocktails? No. It is a beer bar. Probably the 2nd or 3rd best in BR

That’s what people go there for. Not a nice restaurant, or a relaxed sports bar to watch games and eat some wings. Nope they’re looking for a new stapler

Old daiquiri place on Lee if I’m not mistaken. Don’t think it opened yet though.

I like going out downtown to Driftwood, Bengal, River Room, and Blend. But I’m also past my late night days so I’m long gone before the trash comes out. Then again I can walk home to Spanish Town and not have to drive anywhere.
