I dont think Mr. Pope realizes that "fossil fuel companies" will cease any activities with fossil fuels as soon as a more efficient & profitable alternative is developed.

ExxonMobil isn't going to suddenly disappear once we stop using oil. They're just gonna sell energy in a different form.

The Pope should be concerned with carrying on the teachings of Jesus and preaching the gospel to as many people as possible and literally nothing else.

if you don't believe the Pope was selected by the Holy Spirit, you're not catholic.

And its doctrines like that which make me skeptical of highly-organized religious organizations.

If the Pope shits on fossil fuels and someone is around to write about it, did we really elect a Pope?

Nope, I won't drive an electric sewing machine (that passes for a vehicle) and I refuse to eat bug burgers.

To say I'm disappointed in this Pope is an understatement. I miss John Paul II.

there’s nothing wrong with skepticism. catholicism has something for everyone: simplicity for those who crave it, mysticism for those so inclined, an incredibly rigorous philosophical and theological tradition established by some of the brightest minds to walk this earth, and just about everything in between.
