I moved up here (central Arkansas) three years ago so I could finally see some snow. WTF?
Y'all have fun. Hope it's mostly fun and not too damaging. We just had ten inches last week and there's still patches of snow around. Don't drive.

Just drove back down from northern Alabama today, and saw a few groups of power trucks from Kentucky and Ohio heading south on I-59.

It is the track of the low pressure [moisture] is very far south mixing with the cold air...is pretty atypical. The low pressure tends to track farther north and we do get the winter precipitation.

We have flurries now by the atmosphere is pretty dry though dadburn cold.. am north, northwest of DFW

Uhhh, most areas in Houston look like they're going to see 6" with some localized much higher spots.

Houses handle this all the time up north. Not like they intentionally build them weaker here.

And most of the roofs are gable. It's the flat roofs that are potentially the issue with the added weight. Everything we build is to hurricane standards, not snow accumulation. Still shouldn't be an issue.

Wade Hampton on KPLC is calling for 4-8 inch. He also showed a futurecast model and it’s showing places of 10 inches possible

How is there this big strip of blue over Nola when everything else around it is a nice glob of purple. I’d be so mad if we got three inches and LaPlace gets 11 or something nuts
