Are power outages a big concern in the south Louisiana area from this snow storm? Or not so much?

can someone edit the post on the front page to add this to it?

Why does the official forecast for BR area keep flip flopping between 3-5 inches and 5-8 inches?

Somewhere will be in the path of a heavy band of snow for an extended period
It could happen somewhere, the models are just shifting it around update by update

If I have to endure brutal cold temps snow is a bonus and a pretty change of scenery vs two weeks ago when it was just miserable cold and depressing.

Nothing worse than 36 degrees windy and rainy except freezing rain that fricks up the world.

I’m in north Pensacola and forecasts are bouncing between 3-6” of snow. Problem is they do expect a good amount of freezing rain before the snow with a low of about 20. If that happens roads will be undrivable for a while.
I was in ATL when it iced over. I also was in a blizzard in Buffalo. It was much worse in ATL.

It's going to be hard for Husky or Malamute owners to bring them inside after letting them out tuesday

Snow storm, maybe. Ice storm, most definitely.

We live close to a levee and the kids are already talking about finding something we can use as a sleigh to use.
I hear good things about sleds.

That was a fun day. Wife and I, pre kids, acted like teenagers all day playing in the snow. Built a snowman. Had a snowball fight. Lost power early that morning and spent the rest of the day sitting in front of the fireplace. Great memory.
Sounds similar to the day my wife and I had that day also, but we spent the afternoon in bed.
